    Celebrating 140 years of South Asian American history and the hidden stories of South Asians in Chicago!

    Please join us on November 21st, at the Newberry Library in Chicago to uncover stories dating back more than a century.

    The gala will feature an exhibit of rare historical materials, an interactive treasure hunt, community storytelling, and a special performance by the Indie-pop musician, Anju!

Since its founding in Chicago eleven years ago, SAADA has organized more than 150 events, presentations, and lectures attracting thousands of people interested in engaging with the South Asian American community and its history.     SAADA is the only 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization working nationally to document, preserve, and share stories from the South Asian American community. We work to ensure that the struggles of past and current generations for equality, inclusion, and representation are not the same struggles we leave to our children.
