  • About the event

HackMerced is a 36 hour long programming competition where you and 349 other contestants will team up, learn, code, design and pitch cool and creative projects that you always wanted to try out. HackMerced is open to all indivudals between the ages of 14 to 22 (plus graduate students!) and is an opportunity for beginners, pros, and those all in-between to have fun building what they desire for cool prizes! In Fall 2017, 350 students from all backgrounds will congregate together for its third iteration.

    Why should you sponsor?

HackMerced is an event that facilitates a bridge between ambitious students and industry professionals and allows students to be involved with the ongoings and environment that these professionals provide. By fostering an environment that allows students to collaboratively engage their thoughts with each other, students are empowered by constructive criticism in their design, pitch, and ingenuity to the panel of judges. Sponsors have the honor of giving valuable feedback to students who have aspirations in the technological and scientifc fields. By supplying fiscal support, prizes, or even mentors to the event, sponsors are contributing to the overall connection between students and the awaiting industry. Sponsors of HackMerced in the past have always enjoyed  their choice to support HackMerced and, in most cases,  have continued their partnership with HackMerced. Many  of the sponsors would agree that plans were very much  reasonable and affordable.

HackMerced has always delivered an excellent sponsorship experience to us the last  two years

Hi, I am Christian! I'm a full-time bioengineering student who is extremely interested in connecting unlike concepts such as Machine Learning and Image processing to Biorobotics, Biomechanics, and Biotechnology. However, I hope to expand my knowledge through multiple fields such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mechnical Engineering, and Materials Science Engineering in hopes of being able to uncover and invent technology that can save the lives of many. With that, I am dedicating my whole life to such of an endeavor.
