About the event
Wellness Counseling Inc. is excited to offer this wonderful destination CE (continuing education) Retreat to mental health providers of all different specialties and backgrounds. This retreat is providing mental health providers the opportunity to prepare and plan surrounding issues of vicarious trauma and being able to apply skills and tools demonstrated in the workshop through experiential activities.
This retreat is also providing the opportunity for participants to work on their self-care and prevent burnout. Mental health providers are a much needed resource and the better care they take of themselves that better services they are able to deliver with the populations they serve.
The class will focus will be on how to Assess, Prevent, Manage, and treat Vicarious Trauma. Participants will certainly go back home GLOWing after attending this workshop and experience.

Arilda SurridgeMy name is Arilda Surridge and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am the Owner/Director of Wellness Counseling Inc. I am a Hispanic, Woman that started my business in 2016 and have been practicing in the mental health feild since 2010.
I am bilingual English/Spanish. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and Gottman trained. I am specialized and have a passion in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and couple’s counseling. Aside from providing therapy services I also provide clinical supervision, consultation to other professionals, organize and lead wellness retreats for indviduals and couples, and create continuing education classes/retreats for mental health professionals/providers.
I am dedicated to providing high quality services, and look for ways to make these services accessible to EVERYONE.
