About the event

GLOMUN, also known as Global Model United Nations, is an educational simulation of the United Nations and its operations. It is a platform in which students gain practical knowledge, professional acquaintance and subject awareness about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations itself. Students, termed as delegates, play the roles of dignitaries of the United Nation member states to represent respective countries.

We at GLOMUN, assure that all our respected Delegates learn how to make draft resolutions, devise strategies, negotiate with adversaries and resolve conflicts. Staunchly leading the United Nations` rules of procedures as applied in its respective body, delegates direct the resources towards the fulfilment of “international cooperation” for the

resolution of problems that affect nearly every member state in the world, which is the true essence of GLOMUN.

  GLOMUN assures a good quality debate for our delegates by comprising of total 8 committees:

 UNHRC, which deals with human rights,

 DISEC, which deals with the disarmament and international security,

 PNA, which deals with national political issues, legal matters and amendments in the constitution of Pakistan,

 UNSC, governed under the UN charter, deals with the resolution of international disputes and maintenance of international peace and security,

 ICAC is a crisis committee which functions to call upon emergency    sessions,

 NCC is a crisis committee which functions to call upon national level emergency sessions,

 UNDP which deals with development programs held under the auspiciousness of the UN.

And for the first time ever, GLOMUN 2018 is introducing a newly formed, most awaited and highly anticipated GOT committee. This is fundamentally a ‘Fictional Committee’ based on a huge following and viewership of the television series “Game of Thrones” which is focused on tackling the dire issues of present season`s crisis and ongoing tug of war for dominance and expansion.

After the successful completion of this 4 day seminar, the delegates shall be equipped with subset of expertise that shall enable them to deal with world issues and framing of counter measures and resolutions within the legal framework of UN charter. GLOMUN ensures that along with debating, delegates would also have an opportunity to enjoy quality time to socialize with their fellow delegates. GLOMUN shall also stage major social events such as Rave Night, Concert and Formal dinner, in which the delegates will be awarded certificates for their zealous participation and achievements, which would encourage them even more and bring out the best of them for their better and brighter future ahead.
