About the event
The AIESEC Global Village is a celebration of cultures from around the world in an attempt to develop a liaison between our native citizens and the world beyond our borders. Through the idea of the world being a ‘global village’, we aspire to enthuse our youth with an understanding and appreciation for the diversity of cultures, in an attempt to promote values of peace and tolerance.
Theme: ‘Global Citizenship: Beyond the Tourist Perspective’
Our theme attempts to promote the idea of a "global community" where people do not associate their identity with the citizenship of a particular nation transcribed by political/social/cultural boundaries but rather with the idea of a world that is more connected and equal. Our Exchange Participants and Local Delegates will showcase their nations through a day packed with sessions, singing, dancing, food, customs, costumes, music and traditions where our delegates engage and learn while our partners project themself internationally as entities that advocate our values of global citizenship, sustainability and the larger idea of a better world.
