  • About the event

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting our annual health fair and celebrity basketball game – Learn 2 Live. It is our pleasure to invite you to join us as a community sponsor and make this a successful event to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining one’s health. The Learn 2 Live Health Fair will be take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Exchange Park Recreation Center. Joining forces as one unit, the Georgia Spartans, Commissioner Larry Johnson of Dekalb County, Ki2FiT, Breaking the Chains, Inc. and HipHopGivesBack.com saw a need to host a fair that focuses on educating the local community about health and fitness – while providing free onsite health screenings. All partnering organizations value family and community oneness, which will be the driving force of all family fun activities and entertainment to take place at this community event. According to research, a number of citizens opt out to not receive preventive healthcare due to the high costs of medical services and insurance premiums. A lot of the preventive services that are offered, can assist with identifying chronical illnesses in the earlier stages – thus allowing a person to seek the medical attention that is needed in a timely manner. Think of how many lives that can be saved or illnesses properly managed if a person has the available resources to at least obtain the proper preventive healthcare services.

    Why should you sponsor?

I am writing on behalf of the Georgia Spartans, a competitive basketball team for young men age 20 and over and official member of the Universal Basketball Association.  Quarterly, we organize sporting and charity events to allow local and non-local players the opportunity to display their skills through our basketball development program.  Our program gives aspiring basketball players an opportunity to play at a professionally competitive level with the Universal Basketball Association. For this endeavor, my partners, non-profit organizations HipHopGivesBack and JABStep and I have been working to raise funds that will allow us to promote sporting and charitable giving. We are dedicated to raising funds for our various community programs and events. One of main sources of fund raising is through sponsorship.
