  • About the event

Gateway to Raas is a well-established Garba-Raas dance competition, which showcases a modernized version of this traditional North Indian dance form. GTR 2018 was widely recognized in the Garba-Raas circuit as one of the most well organized, competitive, and overall successful competitions of the year. Our competition is nationally recognized, and is the first of its kind in the city of St. Louis. We host teams from all over the nation who then go back to their hometowns to spread the word of our competition, and our sponsors. The competition is also livestreamed for friends and family in several states. Additionally, GTR hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year with which Sponsors could use to reach an even wider audience.

    Why should you sponsor?

GTR is an Indian cultural organization that hosts an annual, nationally recognized, Garba-Raas competition. I am contacting you today in hopes of seeking your support in the form of a sponsorship for this highly anticipated event. In exchange for your monetary investment, we can offer ample benefits for you and your corporation including wide-spread advertisement before and during our event.

In previous years, gracious donations and sponsorships have contributed to the success of our event as well as effectively promoted local and non-local businesses. With your donation/sponsorship, we would like to further enhance the GTR competition experience as well as promote your organization in return for your generous donation.

    Anisha Patel

My name is Anisha Patel. I am a current student at St. Louis University, and am one of the Directors for next year's competition. I have been with the nonprofit organization since its beginning years ago, and am happy to answer any questions about the event or any other concern in particular. Gateway to Raas is an excellent way to preserve culture, honor the arts, and build a tightknit community that transcends state borders. I hope that we can include you into this unique and diverse community moving forward as a sponsor!
