About the event

This event is much more than basketball. Incorporated are carefully selected components that inspire positivity and creativity, to include music performances, live art, spoken-word, food vendors, youth-centered entertainment and resources, inspirational speakers, and giveaways all serve to paint a full picture of true community engagement. 

Aim to Win and what we hope to Achieve:

 -To foster engagement of all levels from locals, community partners, and businesses.
- To provide an experience of family fun and togetherness.
- To provide a platform for Fownders and our partnering businesses and sponsors to be a visible supporting presence in Newark.
- To have all partners and sponsors make an authentic connection with the people of our community.
- On a grander scale, it is to push the audacity of growth from within via the music performances and speaker selections that inspire leadership and responsibility of the individual.

The vehicle is a two-day basketball tournament - with your help, we can create an impactful experience which transcends the basketball court and carries forward the 'aim to win' ethos year after year into the everyday lives of our community members.

Fownders is a social enterprise providing progressive education through the principles of entrepreneurship. We provide our community the skills, strategies, and mentorship needed to align their purpose towards a prosperous career and lifestyle. Our movement combines hands-on community development and social impact initiatives to connect, educate and inspire the next generation of leaders.
 

Aim To Win is an initiative of our nonprofit arm and our mission is to impact, inspire and empower the people of OUR community.
