About the event
Festival Football was designed as a fundraising mechanism for the FirstWorks Soccer Academy & SkyPitch F.C. FirstWorks is a youth soccer organization created to serve at-risk youth and families on Atlanta's Westside through the game of soccer and building life skills. SkyPitch F.C. is a partner organization that hosts adult soccer leagues, tournaments, and fundraising events to help support the youth and families of the FirstWorks Soccer Academy.
Festival Football has hosted soccer tournaments at festivals locally in Atlanta before to much success. We are now bringing this idea to a bigger stage to be a part of Imagine Music Festival. Festival Football would provide a temporary soccer structure, slightly smaller than a regulation size tennis court, called a Dragon Goal. There would be walls to keep the ball inside the structure, perimeter and roof netting, as well as goals. Soccer is a global sport, and music is a universal language. Festival Football would allow festival goers the chance to play the beautiful game while enjoying the music that they love, and connect with people they didn't know before.
We would charge festival goers to play in the unit and enjoy any product provided by our sponsor. The unit would hold at most 8 individuals per game, or 4v4. We would rotate the players out after 15 min games, in a round robin tournament style. The winner would stay on to play in the unit without paying until he or she loses. Festival Football will have a DJ on site playing music for the players as well as the spectators to enjoy.
Why should you sponsor?
Festival Football will be located inside the campgrounds of Imagine Festival, where thousands of festival goers will be camping for the duration of the 3 day festival. Festival hours are from 5pm-3am, with the main acts to begin going on around 8pm. This leaves a large window of time where campers will be seeking entertainment until their desired acts perform and can turn to Festival Football for enjoyment.
Imagine Festival is expected to host more than 100,000 attendees this year.
We think this is a philanthropic opportunity to both aid a local nonprofit soccer academy, and gain invaluable exposure to your company. We hope you would like to partner with us to help make Festival Football a great gathering of determined souls.
I am the curator of the event Festival Football as well as the organizer of SkyPitch Football Club. I began my work with SkyPitch about 2 years ago, and I have since been able to help serve over 200 youth in the metro Atlanta area through my service with SkyPitch F.C.
I have played soccer my whole life, and I have been able to forge many opportunities from the game which is why I am so passionate about sharing it with today's less fortunate youth. I have a background in finance from Georgia State University, and I currently work in real estate during my day job. Service is my passion, and I try to give back in any way that I can throughout my daily activities. No deed is too small.
