FallFest is an annual celebration of student activities that kicks off the school year with a night of demonstrations, information tables, competitions, performances, free food, and prizes. It is a nationally recognized program that has become an integral part of student life at UNC Chapel Hill. As a long-standing tradition, the initiative continues to meet the program organizer-- the Carolina Student Union's mission by providing an engaging, safe, and alcohol-free event to welcome new and returning students. The 23rd annual FallFest involvement fair is Sunday, August 18, 2019 on South Road at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 8 pm-12 am.
Anticipated 25,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members will attend this event.
FallFest, a long-standing tradition and nationally recognized program, is an integral part of student life at Carolina that meets the Carolina Union’s mission to provide an engaging, safe, and alcohol-free event to new students.
This signature event consists of an involvement fair, information tables, demonstrations, competitions, performances, and lots of free food and prizes.
Higher levels of sponsorship also position your organization’s marketing table(s) in premium locations at FallFest, and allow for on-campus tabling access during the weeks following FallFest-- extending your reach to the UNC community.
Beth MorrisThe Carolina Union is an organization of students, professional staff, and part-time student staff dedicated to providing programs, services, and facilities for all members of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus community. The Union contributes to the educational mission of the institution through the provision of cultural, social, educational and entertaining programs sponsored by the Carolina Union Activities Board and the Union.

History
The Student Union is named in honor of Frank Porter Graham, University President 1930-49. Construction on the original 100,000 square foot building was completed in 1969 and included meeting facilities, student offices, lounges, billiards and game room, bowling alley, administrative and Activities Board offices, an art gallery and a 400 seat capacity meeting room (the Great Hall).It serves as the living room to campus and is located in a centralized location on UNC's campus.
