  • About the event

    About the Fair:

The Empire State Rare Book and Print Fair will bring over 50 book, print and ephemera dealers from across the world to the historic St. Bartholomew’s Church in the heart of Manhattan. The fair will feature a ticketed preview night with live music, food and drinks, and then two days when the public will be able to come and explore the treasures on offer.

    About the Organizer:

Fine Book Fairs was established in 2022 to promote book fairs in the United States. Eve Rachel Lemon, the founder of FBF, is a rare book collector and promoter who organized the inaugural Georgetown Rare Book Fair in May 2022, Philadelphia Rare Book Fair in December 2022 and the inaugural Newport Rare Book Fair in June 2023.

Our fairs are a social experience aimed at instilling the joy of book collecting in a new generation of collectors. Our fairs take place in historic buildings and they feature live music, drinks and food. All the exhibitors are served three-course dinners each evening. We aim to create a bespoke experience for both exhibitors and collectors, building new relationships that will last well beyond the load out.

    Why should you sponsor?

    Benefits of Sponsorship

With a combination of leading exhibitors, renowned speakers and a landmark venue, the Empire State Rare Book and Print Fair looks set to become a staple on New York’s cultural calendar. We are anticipating 5,000 attendees over the course of the event. At least 2,000 copies of the brochure will be printed and it will feature on our website (which has averaged 5,000 visitors per month).

    Projected Publicity

We plan to advertise via social media, book collecting magazines (Firsts Magazine, Fine Books and Collections Magazine, Rare Book Hub), local resident listservs, local media (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Literary Hub), libraries and universities (New York University, Columbia University, CUNY, The New School), institutions (The Morgan Library, New York Public Library, New York Historical Society, New York Academy of Medicine, New York Society Library) and book collecting associations. You are encouraged to promote the fair among their clients in the surrounding area.
