Eats, Beats and Brews,

Warwick, New York, United States Warwick, New York, United States

  • About the event

On August 19th 2017, Warwick Playground Dreams will be hosting an event called Eats, Beats & Brews. Although this will be WPD first large event, many of our committee members have experience putting together large fundraisers so we expect it to be a big success. We will be having live music from 12-8pm, a car show with an estimated 75-100 participants, (potentially) a motorcycle run ending at our event,  a bounce house, face painting, dunk tank, balloon twisters, food & craft vendors, a beer garden and so much more.

A little bit about Us: Warwick Playground Dreams is a committee of volunteers from all across the town of Warwick who want to rejuvenate the aging playground in Stanley Deming Park. Working together with the Village of Warwick, the schools and playground design architects Play By Design, we want to bring a community-designed and community-built ADA-compliant playground to Warwick that will exercise the imaginations of ALL of Warwick’s children as well as their muscles.

Our mission is to raise the funds for the materials and equipment needed. Then,  under the supervision of Play By Design’s Certified Playground Safety Inspectors,  our own residents will come together and build the town’s children a playground of their dreams, We invite all members of Warwick’s community to volunteer their time, funds, resources and talents to help us make this dream a reality.

You could visit our website at: www.warwickplaygrounddreams.org or our Facebook page: Warwick Playground Dreams for more information. Thank you for your time and we hope you will join us for this great event!

    Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor should support our event because they will be making a real difference in childrens' lives. Our current playground is very old and outdated. Not one piece of equipment is handicap accessible and the design of the playground makes it difficult for children with special needs to enjoy. Our new design, which is featured on our website and was designed by children in our community, will enable every child in Warwick and surrounding villages to enjoy a day at the playground. From the wheelchair accessible merry-go-round to the sensory garden to the zipline, children will love to be outdoors at their new playspace. It will exercise not just the body but also the mind and imaginations of every child.

In addition to making a difference in childrens lives, our event will attract many people from all over the Hudson Valley region which will result in advertising to a large group of people in a short period of time.

I am a mother of 3 very active boys who cherish every moment they spend outdoors including days spent at their beloved Stanley Deming Park. For the past ten years, I have worked at a non-profit school in Denville, NJ that specializes in alternate learning styles for special needs children. I am currently the head administrator for the Warwick, NY Parents Group; together with the community they have operated some local fundraisers including the Halloween Trunk or Treat for the WV Humane Society, a holiday collection for Orange County Safe Homes & a other “community give back” programs.

I  am a Public Relations co-Chair for Warwick Playground dreams and am also an active member of the fundraising committee. I assist in troubleshooting different aspects of  Warwick Playground Dreams, sharing information about our organization with our community and organizing fundraising events.
