About the event

CosXPo is a UK event that focuses on the art of cosplaying and cosplay photography and we've been holding our events since 2018. The team behind CosXPo are all frequent attendees of events throughout the year, with interests in various geek-esque areas from games to film, comics to cartoon, but we all have one thing in common- we love cosplay! So we decided to make an event which focuses on all things cosplay, photographer collaboration, skill building, knowledge sharing, and technique mastering!

What sets CosXPo apart?

Our hands-on workshops aim to be more interactive than lecture-like panels that often taken place at conventions. From embroidery to moulding and casting - we host a number of amazing workshops for beginners and veteran cosplayers alike. 

With cosplayers also comes photographers, and with both among us we can all agree we are bored of car parks and crowded halls when trying to get the perfect shot of a cosplay. We host our event at Reading University so that attendees can collaborate and get beautiful, unique shots in the incredible grounds. 

The big event will be our UK qualifiers for the European Cosplay Gathering and Tournament of Champions - two prestigious international competitions. Entrants will need to impress the judges with strong displays of skill, dedication, and innovation. Whether you’re a sewing machine master, a prop legend, or a wig wizard, the competition will be high. If they can create a show stopping costume, it deserves to be shown among other great creations.

We stand out from the crowd

We’re the first and biggest English event that focuses on Cosplay. We deliver hands-on learning experiences, from trying out new tools and materials, to hearing from the best in the business flown in from around Europe. 

Our event is growing at a steady pace

At our very first event we had 700 attendees. At our most recent event in 2022 we had over 1,200 people through the doors, with people flying from across the world to attend. This year we're predicting closer to 2000 attendees.

Over 75% of our attendees are cosplayers

Cosplay has become increasingly appealing worldwide. And people want to be more and more accurate and creative. Those entering competitions can spend upwards of £1000 on a single costume and their supplies come from companies like yours!

Cosplay is for everyone

People of all ages come along to CosXPo,  and all of them share the same love for cosplay, and the same desire to learn more.
