About the event
The Chicago Elite Showcase is an event for the top, elite youth baseball players in the state of Illinois to come together, and showcase their talents on a big stage. The event was established in 2009, and has since seen 38 participants go on the play college baseball, and 4 professional draft picks.
Why should you sponsor?
Sponsoring the Chicago Elite Showcase helps cover the cost for the players families, as well as create countless advertising opportunities for companies associated with it.
We have multiple options as far as how our sponsorship/advertising process works, at many different levels.
Something to make note of is that Play Ball USA in Mount Prospect, Illinois has over 50,000 people come through our doors annually, and the Illinois Indians works with over 300 players/families per year. Also, between the two webpages, we have over 750,000 hits.

My name is Chris Michals, retired professional baseball player, and current head of youth development for the Illinois Dodgers, Play Ball USA, and recruiting coordinator for the Chicago Elite Showcase.
I joined the Play Ball USA coaching staff in 2012. I am a graduate of Oakton Community College where he played from 2008-2010. In 2010, I starred on the was the top pitcher, and a two-way player, on a team that finished with a 42-19, ending the season ranked #13 in NJCAA Div. 2 and the school's first ever final four berth.

Following college, I went on to play profesionally in the Czech Republic. In 2012 I played for the Trnava Angels where I starred both on the mound and as a position player. I returned to Czech in 2013 as a member of the Trebic Nuclears, but had my season cut short due to injury. I have since returned to Europe and played in Switzerland, and Germany.
I teach both hitting, pitching, and infield lessons for Play Ball and lead many of our weekly classes. In addition to my work at the academy, I am also a member of the Illinois Indians, and Illinois Dodgers coaching staff where I work with both youth and high school level teams.
