About the event
As Chairwoman of the Leicester Grammar School Charity Committee, I’m very proud to be hosting a Charity Ball for Sixth Form students (16-18 year olds) in November 2017 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
My team’s goal is to maximise the amount of money that we are donating – Macmillan is one of Britain’s foremost charities in providing specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Why should you sponsor?
Every two minutes, a new person is diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Added to this is the rise in incidence rates for all cancers by 12% since the 1990s. Macmillan is an invaluable source to the growing number of people affected by this terminal illness as well as to their families, and offers the support people need to take back control of their lives.
I would be grateful if you would support my effort in raising money for such a worthwhile cause by donating a suitable sum to help fund the event. Any money that has not been utilised will be added to the donation to Macmillan. I ensure that every penny you gift will be appropriately spent and I endeavour to keep you up to date with any developments that may ensue, including the total amount raised.

If you donate: (Gold) £2000-2500 name on a list of sponsors poster, recognition from the podium, opportunity to have a table for brand related materials, free ticket for your son to attend, recognition as our biggest sponsor by including your company's name in the name of our event, logo on the 200 tickets and around 30 posters. Guaranteed mention of brand name at all speeches given advertising or post-event. Depending on how much you choose to donate, the size of the logo on the sponsors poster will be accordingly increased. We are looking for sponsorship in terms of monetary donations. If you donate: (Silver) £500-750 name on a list of sponsors poster, recognition from the podium, opportunity to have a small table for brand related materials and a free ticket for your son to attend, as it is an event for Sixth Form students and guaranteed mention of name of company during one advertising speech at school. Depending on how much you choose to donate, the size of the logo on the sponsors poster will be accordingly increased.
