About the event
The First Annual Multicultural Conference is an opportunity for professionals to gather and learn more about workplace diversity. Through a variety of speakers, workshops and a multicultural tour led by David himself, attendees will undoubtedly broaden their worldview and begin to appreciate diversity in a new way. There will also be opportunities to delve deep into the root causes of racism and ignorance, their impacts, and how they can be mitigated. On Saturday night (Dec. 7th), a magnificent banquet dinner with multicultural foods and performances will take place, fully encapsulating the conferences theme of celebrating diversity. Attendees will leave with a brand new perspective on multiculturalism in the workplace, and with actionable steps to seize its benefits.
Why should you sponsor?
We are a dedicated, hardworking, but very small not-for-profit organization. We believe that businesses in the greater Vancouver area would benefit greatly from this event, and that is why we would like to execute it to the very best of our ability. During the event, there would be plenty of opportunity for advertisement and visibility for all of our sponsorship levels which would indicate support for multiculturalism to other businesses and clients. Sponsorship would also give you access to a large market of multicultural communities, a lot of whom are more likely to remain loyal to a brand. David McLaurenDavid McLauren is a diversity specialist. Born in India and educated in North America, David has a Ph.D. in Inter-Cultural Studies and speaks five languages. For over 20 years, David has been bringing a wealth of education and expertise to businesses, addressing the issues facing diversity, and brilliantly helping companies increase their productivity. David has presented and consulted in Canada, the United States, India, and England, and has taught business and intercultural studies for 20 years. He is highly sought-after as a keynote speaker, facilitator, and expert on multicultural issues. He is the author of “Diversity Gold: How to Increase Profit and Productivity”, as well as a Nominee for the Diversity Champion Award in 2007. David has dedicated his life to bringing business and diversity together to form a mutually beneficial relationship.
