  • About the event

Change the destiny of the 30,000 homeless cats and kittens in Sarasota County by becoming a sponsor or underwriter of our 2018 fundraiserCat Tails - A Night in the Garden.

Join us on March 9, 2018 for an enchanting celebration under the stars at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. This special evening is an exciting alternative to traditional fundraising events. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, hand-crafted cocktails, delectable bites prepared by award-winning Michael’s on East, delicious desserts and our best silent auction to date.

    Why should you sponsor?

Your kindness will save the lives of more than 1,600 felines, provide 3,000+ spay and neuter surgeries, support our community outreach programs and feed thousands of income-qualified personal pets and free-roaming cats. By becoming a sponsor or underwriter, the generosity you show today will provide much needed support and medical care throughout the year.

Together let’s give them a second chance!

Cat Depot, a non-profit, free-roaming center, is recognized for its progressive design and commitment to helping homeless, abandoned, and injured cats and kittens.

Our mission is to save lives, find loving homes, and provide the resources and education needed to improve the destiny of homeless cats.

Rescue: Cat Depot works daily to rescue abandoned, abused, injured, relinquished, and free roaming community/feral cats and kittens. In 2017, Cat Depot rescued over 1,500 felines and assisted with local and national rescues.

Adoption: Our goal is to find a good match and loving home for every cat who enters Cat Depot. Dedicated efforts have resulted in increased adoption numbers every year for the last five years.

Resource/Humane Education Program: Cat Depot provides volunteers and the community with educational activities that promote awareness and knowledge of cat behavior and care through public workshops, printed material, and online resource library.

Community Cat/TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) Program: Our Community Cat Program was developed to educate the public about free-roaming cats, supply food for community cats and personal pets, offer resources for free and low-cost medical care, loan traps and offer transportation assistance, provide free and low cost spay/neuter surgeries, and place adoptable cats and kittens into loving homes.

Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic: In an effort to care for sick and injured cats and their distressed owners, Cat Depot opened a small yet highly functional discount clinic. Reduced prices have helped people and their pets in Sarasota and Manatee counties, and as far away as North Port and Tampa.
