About the event
Capital Sci Fi Con is back for its third year and we are gearing up for it to be even bigger and better! In its new home at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, on the 3 and 4 February 2018 we invite people to step into a magical world where their favourite movie, TV and comic book characters come to life and reality is left at the front door! From wand duelling classes to light sabre battles, roaming Daleks to marching Stormtroopers there really is something for the whole family at the convention voted the number one in Scotland in 2016.
Capital Sci Fi Con is particularly unique as it is the ONLY not for profit convention in the UK, organiser Keith Armour and his team of 200 dedicated volunteers donate their time, energy and passion to organising this event and they donate 100% of the profit to Rachel House children’s hospice which is run by Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
Why should you sponsor?
Last year, we had over 7,000 people come through the doors of Sci Fi Con and the team raised over £75,000 for the children and families that are supported at Rachel House. This year promises to be the best one yet but we can’t do it alone and we need your help! They say that not all superheroes wear capes and this is your chance to shine.

I work with the team behind Capital Sci Fi Con to help put on the best convention in Scotland whilst raising thousands for the children and families that use Rachel House Children's Hospice.

The aftershow party takes place on the Saturday night of the convention at the Corn Exchange. This is a ticketed event over and above the day passes. On the night we will have a few hundred sci fi and movie fans dancing the night away with a silent disco, DJ's and live music all in the impressive hall with Walking Dead and Terminator props for those all important selfies! As sponsor of the party, you will receive your company name in the programme (over 7,000 people attended the convention in 2017). You can brand up the main stage with banners and you will receive two weekend passes and two aftershow party tickets.

This unique opportunity gives you the chance to step into the world of movie magic and sponsor some of the biggest attractions that the convention has to offer. We have movie replica props from Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Terminator, Judge Dredd and many more and for £200 you will be the proud sponsor of the prop for the weekend. For your donation, your name will be printed in the programme alongside the prop (over 7,000 people attended the convention in 2017) and you will receive four weekend passes as well as being listed on the Capital Sci Fi Con website as a sponsor.
