  • About the event

    Hi! We're Grouphug Tech.
Our mission is to empower everyone to live their best sustainable lives in style. This March, we are hosting two educational workshops at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

    About the workshop:
Ever wondered how solar technology works? In this workshop, participants will learn how to harvest the sun’s magical energy & build a own working solar panel that can charge a phone. We’ll take them through a step-by-step tutorial of putting together a 6 watt panel, embedding it in a durable case, and attaching it to circuitry compatible with phone charging. We’ll also chat about the history of solar panels, the science behind energy harvesting, and the latest trends in the industry. Beginners welcome, no prior electronics experience necessary!
