Black History Month Celebration,

College Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lancaster, Massachusetts, United States College Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lancaster, Massachusetts, United States

  • About the event

Last February we held our 1st annual Black History Month celebration and it was a huge success!  We had hundreds in attendance, and many more watching live online. We also had the event recorded and played on local TV stations.

The event was covered by Worcester Magazine as well. You can check out the article here:

We had participants from all over Worcester County and even as far as Boston participate with fine arts, singing, dancing and culinary, including Worcester's Unity Choir coordinated by Ernest Floyd and Siobhan Petrella, directed by myself.

This year, we would like to include a theater aspect to the event and we are in need of talented young actors.

Our theme is Courage to Persevere: an Ode to Black Female Educators

We want to include our Worcester Community in this event from Performers, Actors, Artist, and Culinary Artist as well.

    Why should you sponsor?

Not only will it bring attention to their business as a supporter of the community, it will show they honor and support the diverse cultures that make this community beautiful, unique, and strong.

    Samarie Mojica

Hi, I'm Kirosha. I'm known as the "Purpose Driven Songstress" for my ability to use my voice and song to move the heart and accomplish its mission, to draw people to Him. I have been using my voice to make a difference from a young age, singing, MC-ing, story telling, and writing songs. It’s been an amazing journey and I’m so excited to share my gifts with you through service and training. Doing it all while releasing my debut album, caring for my family, and steadily recording new commissioned songs for organizations and independent artists has molded me into the purpose-driven artist I am today.

I have always harnessed the power of my voice. Throughout my musical career, my music has resonated with music lovers from all walks of life. As a singer, professional songwriter, and worship leader, I have performed at numerous venues, made dozens of national appearances and opened for major artists like Tamela Mann, Whitney Phipps and Mary Mary.

I am powered by my purpose to fulfill my new mission in serving and training the Church wherever I'm called; using my voice as a tool to enhance, bless, and teach; coloring God's work with my art and training the next generation to do more.
