About the event

The Back to Black Business Expo is an event designed to celebrate and encourage the success of black-owned businesses nationwide. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase amazing items from over 30 small businesses and enter to win great prizes.

The Back to Black Business Expo provides a platform for small businesses to grow their consumer base and spread knowledge about their company. A great partnership with a renowned sponsor can help stimulate the economy by investing in the success of local businesses.

Our sponsors will be highlighted in all event promotional publications and throughout the event. We will consult with our sponsors on all instances in which your brand will be displayed to verify it meets your standards. We want to build a transparent partnership and will keep all lines of communication open for any questions or concerns.

This event will be held on September 2, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts), a not-for-profit arts center in Richmond, VA. VisArts is a staple in the Richmond community with its many outreach programs to ensure that art is accessible to all Richmond residents. The reserved spaces can accommodate up to 400 people. As this will be a pop up shop, we anticipate a constant flow of attendees throughout the day. Our attendees will be of mixed gender and the majority will be of African-American descent. The event is free to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register for this event via Eventbrite. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to receive the attendee list with the names and email addresses of registered members.
