According to the St. Louis area food bank, the city of St. Louis has 80,675 people living in poverty, which is 23 percent of the population. There are 135,000 youth who are at risk of hunger and 85 percent of children enrolled in St. Louis Public Schools rely on free or reduced-cost meal programs.
This spring we are hosting a community 4th Annual 5k Run Against Poverty in St. Louis. Our goal is to raise awareness of hunger and poverty within our city and to raise funds to help feed the homeless and hungry. We are asking your business to help us in our mission and become a business sponsor for the upcoming program.
With your sponsorship you will be supporting our goal of feeding the hungry and homeless in the city. All of your donations are tax-deductible and we are a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
My name is Samir Hashem and I am the Services Coordinator for Project Downtown St Louis since January 2016. Our mission is to feed as many people as we can in the St Louis area. In the past 3 year PDSTL has given away over 50,000 + meals to the less fortunate.
