About the event
This Performing Arts Championship is a national competition that will allow performing artist of all talent categories to participate online for the chance of winning cash and getting national exposure, as they use their social networks to get the votes needed to advance through each round of the competition. Contestants get to upload their performance videos, create a portfolio and their personal voting page that they share with their friends, family and fans on their social networks. This competition is highly viral as tens of thousands of performing artist go out to their social networks to share their voting page.
Performing Art Schools and agencies can also win cash for producing the winner of the competition. This will encourage schools to get their students to share contestant voting pages to get their students the exposure and votes to win.
This type of competition hasn't been done before at this scale because there hasn't been an online platform that could facilitate a competition of this magnitude in a clean and organized manner.
There are seven rounds to this competition and 64 contestants that emerge from the national qualifying round (50 State winners and 14 wild card winners) will win cash prizes for making it the the bracket rounds where they now compete head to head. The contestant with the most votes at the end of the round date will advance to the next round and win more cash as they move on. This repeats until the final two contestants go head to head and battle it out to see who will be the Virdition's 1st annual performing arts champion of the United States.
There will also be 10 category award winners, contestants can continue to get votes even after they are eliminated from the qualifying round or any bracket round. This will give tens of thousands of contestants eliminated the opportunity to continue to get votes throughout the end of the competition to win the category they signed up for and win the cash prize for that category.
This Competition will be advertised on the top 3 pop radio stations in all 50 states in the US. Entry forms for contestant to enter, Qualifying Map and Bracket rounds for voters to vote will be posted on radio station websites.
