5K Prayer Walk/Run & Community Health Expo,

St. Louis, Missouri, United States St. Louis, Missouri, United States

  • About the event

Multimedia Ministries of Maple Temple, is partnering with Dynamic Participators Enterprise Inc. a non-profit organization to educate & promote health to our impoverished community’s youth and adults. We are implementing well-being initiatives to incorporate mental, physical & spiritual health acitivites into the community. We estimate that today there are over 1,000 kids from underprivileged homes reside in the local community and even more in nearby neighborhoods and we are passionate about aiding these families but need sponsorship in order to do so. Providing resources and knowledge to the families will establish healther living lifestyles for the attendees and reduce the diseases that plague to community.

    Why should you sponsor?

Your donation will bring us closer to our goals and help offset the cost as we would like to provide this event free and we will provide additional acitivities for the children under the age of 12 years of age. Maple Temple is a non-profit organization (501c3) and your donation is tax-deductible. Promoting your organization support in our community and we pray that your contribution will increase your profits as the our community will be encouraged to support all sponsors.

Pastor John Watson Sr has been a Pastor for over 50 years. He is the current Pastor of Maple Temple. The Multimedia Ministries of Maple Temple of St. Louis MO has hosted many community outreach events and has schedule an Inaugural Community Health Expo for October 14, 2017 at Maple Temple in St. Louis MO. But we need funds to sustain. This is priority for us as we believe that our church has an obligation to educate and support our congregation and the community it resides in. We are well aware that our community is impoverished with low income families that are trying to make the best with what they have. With the additional stressful demands put on these families, we want to bring to them well-being activities in the areas of Mental, Physical and Spiritual health. Mental health has always been taboo in the church but we believe awareness could save a life and allow us to be a support system to each other. We need additional funds in order to make this event a success. We are inviting other churches (all denomination of faith are welcomed and have been invited), schools and other communities to this event which will began with a prayer walk/run followed by classes to include mental, health and physical health elements. We also want to educate these families on healthy food alternatives. Our focus is have each attendee focus on themselves because gaining knowledge in these 3 areas can help prevent or stabilize the many diseases we are afflicted with such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, breast cancer etc. We need your support. The funds will offset the street closures, healthy foods, pending speakers and future health initiatives cost derived from this inaugural event such as health summer lunch programs, aiding & mentoring our community youth, and exercise events. Strengthening the community can build a stronger church for everyone, community and family relationships. Let pray, work and build the community together!  Help us as time is of the essence as this event will be held in 2 months!
