4th Annual Walk to End Breast Cancer,

La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

  • About the event

Alpha Theta Alpha is planning our 4th Annual Walk to End Breast Cancer at La Salle University on October 21st from 11am-2pm. Every year we work together with Fox Chase Cancer Center to plan a walk to raise money for breast cancer research. Last year we raised close to 5,000 dollars and are hoping to exceed that goal this year. Breast cancer awareness is our main philanthropy and we promote our walk all around campus. Fox Chase Cancer Center is in the process of setting up a donation page for our event on their website. Any sponsors for our walk will be advertised at our event.

    Why should you sponsor?

Fox Chase Cancer Center is one of the nation’s top homes for breast oncology specialists and support staff. Fox Chase hosts a multidisciplinary team of professionals that diagnose and treat breast abnormalities including breast cancer. The team of professionals at Fox Chase specialize in breast cancer treatments. The team of professionals at Fox Chase, meet regularly for tumor boards where patients at Fox Chase have their cases and potential treatment options reviewed by the team of physicians and oncology-certified nurses. All Proceeds from Alpha Theta Alpha’s 4th Annual Breast Cancer Walk will go directly to Fox Chase Cancer Center.

    Kristen Neumeister

Starting as the Little Sister's of Tau Kappa Epsilon, the founding members of Alpha Theta Alpha broke from their older brothers to form La Salle University's first sorority. In Alpha Theta Alpha, "Sisters Growing Together" is not just our motto, it is our way of life. Each day, we teach and support one another while creating everlasting friendships. Sisters, old and new, share the special bond of sisterhood that accompanies becoming a part of this sorority. Sisters of AΘA are known all over campus by professors, administrators, non-greek friends, teammates, and in our local community. We embrace La Salle's tight-knit community and always strive to improve in everything we do.
