    About us

Hello! We are two engineering students at ECE Paris, and we are taking part in the 22nd edition of the 4L Trophy which will take place from February 21st to March 3rd 2019. I’m Mathieu Poletto (21 years old) from Luxembourg and I’m sharing this adventure with Bieuc Jan (21 years old). The 4L Trophy is the largest student rally in Europe. A complete description of our project is attached.

    About the event

Let’s start with a few figures. During the 2015 event, the 18th 4L Trophy™ rally, 1,159 teams, giving a total of 2,318 competitors from 1,460 colleges and universities took off from the Halle Iraty in Biarritz, with a single, unique Departure Village on board the legendary Renault 4L.  Their goal was Marrakesh, the final destination at the end of a trip lasting ten days and covering nearly 6,000 kilometres on the roads of France and Spain as well as the off-road tracks of Morocco, all following the familiar format that has made the 4L Trophy™ Rally Europe’s largest student rally.

However, the 4L Trophy™ Rally is more than just a few lines of figures: it’s an amazing humanitarian adventure filled with challenges that encourage sporting prowess and charitable activity, open to students aged between 18 and 28 years old.  The challenge for the winner is not to go quickly but to navigate effectively, and the first requirement is to get over the finish line.  Getting to that stage requires the competitors to discover the true meaning of the word support, avoiding the pitfalls and the sandy wadis where many will fall by the wayside, unable to escape the sands and helping their fellow competitors to fix their mechanical breakdowns.  Only the support of others allows the feeling of immense satisfaction that comes from a job well done that can be seen on the faces of all successful participants, alongside their pride in having given everything for themselves and for others.

As well as their thirst for the wide-open spaces, the crews set off in their Renault 4Ls, carrying equipment and school supplies to help Morocco’s most underprivileged children.

Solidarity for the local populations is not just a buzzword for the 4L Trophy™ Rally: it’s embedded in its DNA.  The emotional response of all participants at the ceremony to hand over donations, organised in partnership with the Enfants du désert (“Children of the Desert”) Charity is a highlight of the adventure and testimony to the importance of this solidarity. Why should you sponsor?

    Why should you sponsor?

By supporting us, you help us to live an extraordinary experience, but also to participate in a very important humanitarian action in Europe, to show a positive image of your company and to benefit from an effective publicity before and during the raid. One or more stickers of the logo of your company will be fixed on the car which will drive in Luxembourg but also in France and will cross Spain and Morocco.

Indeed, the 4L Trophy is above all a humanitarian raid. It has many partner associations that aim to improve the living conditions and education of Moroccan children. It is with this mind that we propose to support us in this adventure. This support would allow us to participate in this great action but also allow you to participate in your way.

The 4L Trophy is the most publicized sports and humanitarian student event in Europe! The RAID 4L Trophy has a press department based in Paris. It is the subject of a communication plan and a set of tools ensuring maximum visibility before, during and after the event. The 4L TROPHY conveys a dynamic image of adventure, surpassing oneself and active solidarity through a student event with high media potential.

TV: 66 reports for 3 of 3 National and international broadcasting in JT, reports and serials daily. Radio: 40 radio reports on the airwaves. Press: 1721 articles published in the national (France) and regional press, 116 articles published in the specialized press and 174 articles published in the Web press. The social networks where we will be present thanks to our Facebook page.

    How can you support us?

You can help us financially. We have put together a 5-tier system that ranges from €200 to €800. It includes your logo and a description of your company on all publications released after and during the event.

To be able to participate all teams are required to collect school- and sport material as well as a donation for “Enfant du Désert”. So, you can give us some school or sport material if you want. Another way is to provides us materials for the car (spare parts, safety equipment…).

We would relish the opportunity to develop a mutually beneficial partnership with your company. We would also be delighted to answer any questions you may have concerning our organisation or proposal. You can contact us at *****@****.***
