About the event
The 34th US Open Challenge on June 15th features daytime individual and group competitions in KungFu/TaiChi forms and weapons, as well as light contact and continuous sport sparring with limited youth SanDa. The evening main event includes SanDa, and Shaolin Legacy Show.

Our mission in the Greater New Orleans community is to educate, empower, inspire, and enlighten the children, teens, and adults of all ages who enroll in our programs. The art and culture of Shaolin offers far more than self-defense skills; training focuses on developing perseverance, awareness, focus, character, problem solving skills, leadership, self-discipline, and self-control. In fostering these qualities, we are helping to develop strong, community-focused leaders in New Orleans and beyond.
Logan KleinKungFu SanDa Federation (KSF), a division of Shaolin World Federation, along with Shaolin Institute, other organizational sponsors and friends will host the Shaolin Chan Kung Fu Legacy - US Open Challenge XXII at the Crowne Plaza hotel on June 15th, 2019. The event highlights the ancient Shaolin arts of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and SanDa (Chinese Kickboxing). Two decades ago I brought Chinese combat style SanDa to the US as the first SanDa coach for the United States Wushu team where I trained Cung Le and Patrick Barry to medal in many events.
