About the event
The Oklahoma JROTC Drill Team State Championships is the premier JROTC Drill Competition for all JROTC units in the state of Oklahoma. All units from Oklahoma are invited to compete for the State Championships. All four branches of military Service (There is no Space Force JROTC...yet, and there are only two Coast Guard JROTC Units) will be represented. All Cadets are high school age in grades 9-12. Teams will compete in a total of 21 Categories. 16 Team categories and 5 individual categories that range from unit inspection, regulation marching, color guards, and exhibition drill. Each branch of service that competes for the all around category will be eligible the Best in Service Award. There will be two divisions, armed and unarmed. Cadets in the armed category will be required to carry a demiliterized (incapable of firing live ammo) rifle that weighs no less than 8lbs. Unarmed teams will not be allowed to carry rifles. All teams that compete in all four team events in both divisions will be eligble for the Best in Service awards as well as the Overall Oklahoma JROTC State Championships

Since 2017, the Oklahoma JROTC Drill Team State Championship Committee has been committed to providing the best JROTC drill competition experience for all cadets.
