    The IRF World Road Meeting

    For the last 60 years, the IRF has been organising the prestigious World Road Meeting (WRM) once every four years in different cities across the world.  This event includes a Conference and an Exhibition. 

    The Conference provides an outlet for sharing cutting-edge research, practices, and experiences, from across the world and is intended to be a premier knowledge event for discussing the important issues facing the road, transport and mobility sectors. 

    Unique to the 18th IRF World Road Meeting, and for the first time ever in India, the Government of India will host, in conjunction, a Global Summit of the Ministers of Transport, with participation from over 150 countries, on 13 November 2017.

    Established in 1948, the International Road Federation (IRF) is a membership-based organisation representing the road infrastructure, transport and mobility sectors. IRF members include representatives from governments, national & international public sector institutions and business & industry.

    The mission of IRF is to promote the development of Safe Road Networks that enable access and smart mobility for all.

    IRF is a not-for-profit organisation, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.  The IRF is recognised and accredited as a special body within the UN System and has been accorded a Consultative Status by the UN ECOSOC.
