About the event

Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance era, Fashion Designer Sakeenah Ashiru will present her Jazz Girls Fashion Show on board on the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship this October 2022.

The Harlem renaissance is a movement that started in the 1920’s and has contributed to honor African American talent. Through her new dress collection, Sakeenah will bring early 20th Century glamour with jazz splendor by using Silk and adding golden embroidery, making the dresses wearable and timeless pieces of art.

This fashion experience will take place as part of the Ahoy Vintage Cruise X Dandy Wellington Crossing, departing from Southampton, England, UK on October 18 crossing the Atlantic Ocean to disembark in New York City on October 25th. The cruise will offer jazz performances by Dandy Wellington and his band, a vintage theme, and other surprises.
