Doug Ouimette's wife has been disabled by a chronic illness known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis /Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), which was the main reason Doug started performing comedy. This illness impacts millions of people worldwide and Doug uses his platform to raise awareness for this illness and this show will be his first special to do this worldwide through various streaming outlets. This show will also benefit The Open Medicine Foundation (OMF). OMF envisions improved health care for patients suffering from multisystem chronic, complex diseases with collaboration between patients, clinicians, and researchers. By supporting this show, you will be directly helping the OMF to accomplish the following;

Support collaborative medical research to find effective treatments and diagnostic markers for chronic complex diseases with initial focus on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).

Doug Ouimette is a Rhode Island based stand-up comedian and a WCSU Alumni that regularly performs throughout NYC, CT, RI, and MA. He has been seen in many venues including Mystic Luxury Cinemas, The Comedy Connection, Comix Roadhouse, St. Marks Comedy Club in NYC, and the Comic Strip Live in NYC. He has won various comedy competitions and has competed in Last Comix Standing in Mohegan Sun. He has had the privilege of performing with national headliners, including John Perrotta, Chris James, Brian Glowacki, Brian Beaudoin, and Scott Higgins. He has appeared on the Ron Seggi Show and was recently featured by The Open Medicine Foundation and various other media outlets. His upcoming special entitled "I Can't Stand Stand-Up Comedy, will focus on raising awareness for ME/CFS. An illness that impact millions of people worldwide and has disabled his wife.
