Horror Movie Marathons,

Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya

  • About the event

Following the success of our first ever Horror Convention in East Africa at The Safaricom Michael Joseph Centre, Nairobi. The Horror Fan Club Kenya is seeking willing sponsors to engage in talks regarding our next intallment  for the year 2019.

The Horror Movie Marathon is a series of events whose idea is aimed at cultural integration, creative developments and brand synthesis. The Horror Movie Marathons will be selected days, every first Saturday, where by we as a club rent out an Air BnB or apartment and have pre-registered participants join us for the night. We shall screen pre-selected horror movies, hold conversations regarding the pop culture insertion and document the entire experience and feedback for the sponsor.

The funds are to cover rental cost for the space and coverage.

    Why should you sponsor?

The Horror Movie Marathon is an idea proposed by one of the members in order to build up to our next convention set for October. Our aim is to enrich the movie going culture in Kenya and especially for the Horror genre. We intend to focus majorly on our marketing and advertisement in order to get our loyal and potential audience updated in each and every step of the way. As brand you get to piggy back in on this as our young energetic team will drive your brand all the way through each event, on scene and online. You can monitor our progress as well if you do not seek brand awareness and/or are an individual sponsoring this as we will do document all of our experiences on our channels.

We seek to demistify the insinuations towards the genre by cultural conotations.

The sponsor will get a front row seat in this particular entire experience as we shall be streaming live via skype and pre-recorded videos as per request. This is off course after various mentions and accolades during marketing the event to draw an  audience.

    Larry Sylvester

My Name is Lawrence Sylvester Mwangi <24>, the founder of The Horror Fan Club Kenya, a subsidiary of Mirror Cut Projects film student organization.

The organization was established in 2015 by a group of student film makers. In 2017 the organization revised its brand to deal with making distribution and promoting Horror Films and thus the need for creating and audience for it. Thus The Horror Fan Club Kenya was founded.

We are a working team of 5 with a 200+ growing audience membership from all ages. I overlook the consistency of activities for the club so as to keep it active and achieve its goals. My main aim is with the club is value profit as opposed to financial. But to ensure the running of the club a few pennies have to be spared.

I am looking for sponsorship to genereate a quality and authentic series of events.
