About the event

The annual technical symposium, is on such initiative here e encourage budding softare enthusiasts from across the country to exhibit their computer skills. We used to conduct special events such as orkshop, intern hiring, paper presentation, demos, lectures, free softare distributions and some mind-boggling competitions. (cb.mitindia.edu). Through the Carte blanche event, we attract companies for internships for the top performers, and provide industry training to the college students. We train the MIT students in terms of aptitude and programming skills with complete emphasis on placements, and conduct workshops for students aiming to pursue higher studies. Individual care is given to all the students attending the session. During our mega event carte blanche, last year we aided 50 students from Government College to attend our fest with free accomodation and travel expenses borne by the club. From the year 2018 to 2021 , Over 100 students benefited from the sponsorship. We are aiming to improve the number in the coming years with strong service oriented minds.

We the Computer Society of MIT (CSMIT) is the evolving intellectual student body, functioning to make technocrats out of both the casual and benighted students. The Computer Society of (then called Computer Club) Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chrompet was founded in 1983, but the students of non-Infotech branches with a view of improving their knowledge in the field of Computer. Later, when the departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology were formed, the students from these courses also began to take part actively in the functioning of the society. This is a student body associated in Computer Centre of MIT.

During its initial years, the society mainly concentrated in getting expertise with the basics of computers and programming languages such as C. later, it included the tools required by various streams like hardware designing and stimulation software for the students of electronics stream, etc. Over the years, the society has evolved from being just an organization for imparting knowledge, to an active participant in the evolution and promotion of national level technical symposium.


The club focuses immensely on the working knowledge of students in the field of coding and is not only limited to the department of information technology or computer technology but is also completely invested in educating young inquisitive minds irrespective of their stream and background. Besides this, CSMIT provides tutoring and real-life training for placements in the most exquisite form of professionalism thereby ensuring the students are in no way lacking in any aspect and stand at par to the requirements of the recruiters at the time of crucial decision making.
