About the event
A collaboration of concerned citizens is respectfully requesting your consideration for sponsorship in the upcoming 04/04/2018 Initiative to observe the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Assassination.
The 04/04/2018 Initiative is the beginning of a series of events designed to unite and empower the nation to reflect, restore, redirect and reignite Dr. King’s dream. This observance will include a sound stage featuring guest speakers, entertainment and political leaders.
Event Location: Shepherd Park located at the intersection of Martin Luther King. Ave. SE and Malcolm X Ave. SE Washington, DC.
Throughout the observance, participants will be introduced to various organizations and asked to pledge volunteer time because as Dr. King once said, “Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve.” Immediately following events at Shepherd park, participants will reignite Dr. King’s dream by assembling at Union Temple Baptist Church where a community concert, dinner and discussion will commence.
We will provide a tremendous amount of exposure for our sponsors through our digital/social media platforms, on-site signage and national partnerships. This event will be recorded and streamed live on Facebook and other media channels. In addition, a direct link from our sponsor’s website to the 04/04/2018 website will allow the site to gain substantial exposure.
