About the event

York Easter Festival is a free to attend annual festival held over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend in York city centre.

There are family friendly activities, chocolate, theatre performances, fairground, street food and much more.

The main city centre streets of York are taken over by the Easter Festival. This includes Parliament Street and St Sampson's Square where many major retailers are located and footfall is extremely high.

Make It York is the official Destination Management Organisation for York. We are a not for profit company with a remit to promote York nationally and internationally as a fantastic place to live, visit, work, study and do business.

We organise many large scale events during the year such as:-

- Illuminating York. Evening light festival in October which receives local and national media coverage. Over 50,000 attendees. www.illuminatingyork.org.uk
