Hello ladies and gentleman,

First let me take the time to say thank you for reading this biography.  Your donations will be going to a great cause. Now let me explain our cause, the mess night tradition in the Marine Corps is just as old as our birthday itself. It is a dinner that helps us celebrate all the Marines that have come before us from the continental Marines all the way through the Operation Iriqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. It is important to remember the ones that came before us because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the freedoms we all so enjoy today. Unfortunetely, Marines don't often carry this tradition due to operational tempo and mission commitment and of course it costs money outside of unit funds. We believe that the younger generations of Marines need to know this tradition in order to learn the history of the Marine Corps as well as honor the ones who have served before us. It will also allow them to do something different other than constantly training for deployment and will give them the opportunity to get to know one another in a different level outside of a work environment. Myself and few other fellow noncommisioned officers will love to plan one for our junior enlisted Marines on October 15th. We are asking for any donations to help put this event together for them and bring their ticket prices down. I know my Marines will greatly appreciate it and would love for this event to take place.
