Why should you sponsor?
Various calisthenics-based sports are becoming more and more popular. Leading social media personalities doing staggering calisthenics tricks have hundreds of thousands of followers.
Because everyone understands calisthenics. It is natural to us. Especially pull-ups, which quite possibly are the first sporting exercise humans have invented. Yet, that exercise has never evolved into a competitive sport. Well, not until 2019, when the first World Pull-Up Championships will take place.
It's a new sport. But it's a sport we have known and done for millions of years.
The people behind the World Pull-Up Organization and the World Pull-Up Championships have organized national pull-up competitions in their native Finland since 2014. The competitions have gathered a combined total of well over 1000 athletes and gained significant media interest. The 2018 National Pull-Up Championships were streamed live online by Ilta-Sanomat, the largest news media in Finland. The 2017 National Pull-Up Championships were televised by a nationwide TV channel, AlfaTV.
