  • About the event

    In its 65th year, the Student Union Board of Governors represents the University of Connecticut’s programming initiatives and planning. SUBOG strives to enhance the educational, social, cultural, and recreational interests of the students at the university.

    SUBOG is broken down into eight different programming committees encompassing
    over 300 members. Committees meet weekly to gauge student’s interests and plan programs reflective of the student body.

    One of SUBOG’s programming committees, Concert Committee, plans musical events for both local and major artists. SUBOG has hosted artists like Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and J Cole over the years.

    This November, the annual Fall Concert will be a memorable experience for thousands of college students. The show at the Jorgensen Theatre will feature popular acts in modern music culture. 

    Last year's event saw attendance of 2,000+ students with a social media reach of 230,000+ individuals. Numbers are expected to grow for this upcoming show.

    Adam Sherif - Concert Chairman

    Adam Sherif is a junior at UConn and the current Concert Chairman of SUBOG. With his committee, Adam is responsible for planning music focused events and setting up major artists such as Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole.

    Before being named Concert Chair, Adam joined concert committee his first year at UConn. His sophomore year, Adam became the marketing chair of the committee. Mid-year, he became the Outreach Chair of SUBOG, responsible for promoting and advertising SUBOG and SUBOG events.

    As Concert Chair, Adam is eager to collaborate with other SUBOG committees, student organizations, and companies to improve the work of the concert committee. He is open to exploring new ideas, new methods, and new ways of planning concerts at UConn.
