Touch A Truck & More will take place during the Atlanta Back 2 School Food Festival at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in Mableton, Ga in Cobb County on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The festival is a family-friendly community event that offers children of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore a variety of machinery and to meet the people who build, protect and serve our community.

Children, with parent supervision, will be welcome to touch, climb-on, and explore these amazing pieces of equipment. Admission is FREE! (Pre-registration required). Reserve tickets on www.TouchATruckFest.com

The Atlanta Back to School parade will kick of the festival at 11:30 am which will include marching bands, local businesses, motorcycle & car clubs, organizations, cheerleaders, dance teams, drill teams, and JROTC units.

The parade route will start at Publix Mable Walk, 5015 Floyd Rd SW, Mableton, GA 30126. The parade will travel south on Floyd Road toward the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre, 5239 Floyd Rd SW, Mableton, GA 30126. The parade will end at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre where the festival will commence.

The festival will include food trucks, caterers, arts & crafts, fun zone, and local businesses. The festival will also host a Kids Choir and Dance Competition.

The festival benefits Inside Out Center, Inc, a 501(c)3 not for profit organization helping the jobless and working poor. The goal of the festival is to provide kids an opportunity to kick off the 2017 -2018 school year optimistic, encouraged, and inspired.

Partners, sponsors, and volunteers are needed to partner with Inside Out Center, Inc in their ongoing mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school, focus on education and achieve in life.

Poverty in Georgia has impacted 15 percent of all families, 20 percent of families with children, and nearly half of all single mothers with kids. There are more than 60,000 children in Georgia living in low-income households.

The Inside Out Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to lending a helping hand to our veterans, homeless, unemployed and the working poor. We focus on providing clothing, food, emergency financial assistance, job training, budgeting techniques, small business seminars, and interviewing skills for our clients.

The 4th Annual Atlanta Back 2 School Food Festival event will be kicked off by a Back 2 School Parade with a ½ mile route on a major street leading into the food festival.  This event will be held at the Mable House Amphitheatre in Mableton, GA on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from noon – 5:30 pm.

The Back 2 School Food Festival is packed with fun activities for families. It is a kid friendly community event open to the public with food, music, clothing, and information on health, education, art, and after-school care programs for families.  

There will be a fun zone, a Touch A Truck area, and Kids Choir and Dance Competition. Our goal is to provide kids in the Metro Atlanta area with a positive outlook on starting back to school. We want the kids to kick off the 2017 school year optimistic, encouraged, and inspired.
