Through this charity show we aim to raise awareness of the impact of an ageing population, the loneliness felts by some of the older generations and also the isolating effect dementia can cause. We firmly believe our show will convey these feelings and more, in an understandable, accurate and even entertaining way to really connect with our audience and get our message across.
In order to effectively convey these themes we are writing to ask for sponsorship. The show is non-profit with all the money going to charity. This means we start off with no funding from previous years or profits; and because St Georges is a healthcare university only - we do not have course specific drama or acting societies help with finances. Hence each year with a Tooting Show production there is no budget for costumes, set design, advertisements or general production and licensing.
For this reason, we are coming to you to ask for your help with fundraising through sponsorship for the show so that we can raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity.
We have spaces available for company logos (or names) on posters that we will use for advertising auditions and the show itself around the entire university campus and the halls of residence, along with the show programme which every person attending the show gets a free copy of (and many keep for a long time as a memoir.) Tooting Show has over 800 audience members over the 2 show nights! We will also be doing promotion videos for our fresher's fair and advertising using social media that will also reference any sponsors helping us in our cause!
If the good cause and passion of the directors wasn't enough, we hope the high exposure to an entire univeristy and hospital will sway you!
Our names are Lorna Chapman, Jack Fielding and Vinesh Sivaneswaran. We are writing as a team of student directors for Tooting Show 2017. This is a St George’s University production which is an annual music, dancing and acting show that has been running for over a decade, focused on raising money and awareness for designated charities. The three of us are medical students at St George’s and we are really keen on focusing our efforts this year on Alzheimers Research UK in particular. Previous Tooting Shows have raised over £1,500 per show for charity!

https://www.sponsormyevent.com/tooting-show-2017-london-2For a donation of £200 we would mention you on posters and shoutouts, within the booklet given to all audience members and also in the promotional videos that would be posted within the university and the hospital. Any larger sums of money that would like to be donated would mean a more prime and larger logo position and more special mentions and shout-outs on the night. Message us for more details on this. We'd rather have a few big sponsors that we can dedicate our attention to than many small ones. But any donation of the above listed size would be appreicated greatly! We hope you're interested.
