About the event

TheGameCon was founded with the purpose to bring a family friendly, fun-packed, and exciting gaming convention to the greater Houston area. With this in mind, TheGameCon has lived up to our mission by supplying a unique and family friendly gaming convention. With over 3 years of history, TheGameCon has pushed the limits on what a gaming convention is, and how people enjoy it. With a strong focus on empowering people to game together as a community of all ages, that is heavily focused on hands-on content and interactive events to take gaming conventions to the next level.

TheGameCon 2017 is being hosted in the beautiful city of Galveston, Texas. Located directly off the Texas Gulf Coast you have the opportunity to really make your trip to TheGameCon a trip to remember with beaches, great views, hotels, and activities outside of the convention! Enjoy wonderful seafood, some of the best hotels and resorts, and family friendly activities while staying on Galveston Island. Some activities to check-out are the infamous Schlitterbahn Water Park, the pleasure pier, and Moody Gardens.

Unlike other events of this class, 60% of our attendees come with their families driving TheGameCon mission of getting families to game together and showing parents how gaming can impact their kid's lives for the better!

Zackary Pedersen

In 2014 Zackary was one of the founding members of ArcadiaCon, shortly after ArcadiaCon moved away from Galveston TheGameCon was born in 2015 bringing back the core values ArcadiaCon held while in Galveston. Zackary is a student at the University of Houston Clear Lake, and was a previous student of University of Houston Main Campus.

Zackary is the President/ Founder of Snaju LLC, the parent company of TheGameCon, and also handles all logistics, organization, development, and management for TheGameCon.
