THE KUT ANNOUNCES UK TOUR DATES
The Kut has announced her October ’Rock Decadium Tour 2019’. 10 UK concerts celebrating 10 years of independent music, with a Top 10 Rock Album to boot. Multi-instrumentalist and PhD Graduate, Princess Maha AKA The Kut, released her debut album on Criminal Records in 2018 after landing a deal with Cargo Records. The album, Valley of Thorns, spent 2 weeks in the rock albums chart, breaking in at Number 7. Known for explosive live shows, festival performances include Download Festival, Camden Rocks Festival, Rebellion Festival, BBC Introducing Stages and tours that span six countries to date. Finalist of the UK Songwriting Contest 2017 and 2018, and Semi-Finalist of USA International Songwriting Competition, The Kut, is the alter-ego of multi-instrumentalist solo-artist and recent PhD Graduate, Princess Maha. Live, The Kut is a trio featuring a regular crew of much-loved musicians.
The debut album ‘Valley of Thorns’ was signed by Cargo Records worldwide in 2018. Produced by James LeRock Loughrey (Skindred / Def Leppard /White Zombie / My Vitriol), its launch was fan-funded via PledgeMusic, hitting 300% of target. The album spent two weeks in the UK Rock Albums Chart, reaching No. 7, and charting in 6 other UK album charts.
Supporting stations include Kerrang! Radio, BBC Introducing Regional, Planet Rock, Total Rock, Hard Rock Hell, while guest DJs include Def Leppard front-man Joe Elliott. The album achieved airplay on 100+ stations worldwide, in 12 US states on AAA, Specialist and College Radio, leading to numerous NACC Rock Chart adds. Music videos have been playlisted on MTV-U USA, Scuzz, AXS TV USA, Soundnet & PromoOnly retail networks.
With the tour approaching, Criminal Records is inviting vendors for collaboration and sponsorship. The tour visits 10 UK cities in which The Kut has previously performed on previous tours. Sponsorship will allow fans access to free and tour exclusive Meet & Greets, allowing a new and fan-friendly model of this to emerge.
