About the event
I would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about a silent killer of females that is being ignored, Ovarian Cancer. Children as young as 2, to women as old as old as 80 years are being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, yet there's little to no awareness about it. Because of the lack of education, women are being misinformed and lives are being lost. The fatality rate is over 68%.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWERFUL!
My goal is to hold a Music Benefits to shine a much-needed light on the 5th gynecology killer among females. The Barbara Leatherwood fight for the Cure Benefit Concert will be held on February 28, 2020 at the famous Luckenback, Tx.
By doing so we will be bringing forth awareness to hundreds of women and men in one room, while raising funding for crucial research.
We would like to invite your company to join in a community effort by considering sponsorship of our benefit.
Your sponsorship would go to pay for the performers, fuel for the tour buses from Nashville, food and lodging. Your company’s sponsorship would also help us to pay for advertising such as newspaper, banners and radio. We simply can't do it without your help.
Because there no test for Ovarian cancer and its silent nature makes it hard to diagnose until it is in its late stages, such as in the case of Carolyn Kinnard.
Carolyn Kinnard, an Ovarian cancer warrior who has been battling for 10 years, has been recently diagnose with her 9th recurrence of this cancer. She fears she is running out of treatment options. Your company’s sponsorship is going to raise awareness, which will save lives.
All net proceeds will be benefiting Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) a (501) 3c organization. Your sponsorship will be tax deductible.
