    PROGRAM TITLE: TER STAR COMPITETION (Triumph Edu-Radio)

     

    DURATION  16 WEEKS /1hrs Per Episode

    Normally 1 or 2 hour proposals for daytime and early evening may be considered. There are also some spaces for 30 minute programs side attractions.

    This is a 5 segmental program as stated below, with room for product and services as yours to come in with the following ads space sponsorship

    Each of the segments breakdown is as follows

    1.                               QUIZ 10 - 11 AM                      

     2.                        DEBATE 11 AM – 12 PM

    3.                       DRAMA/DANCE 1 – 2 PM

    4.                              MUSIC 2 - 3: PM

    5.                              SPORT 4 – 5 PM

    10 Students from 32 schools are to come together to compete with each other across the 16 weeks as stated at the end all of the students are winners, but we have overall winner and winners in numerouse categories respctively.

    CIM student winners of the Baron H. Galand Knowledge Bowl regional championship in Newport Beach, CA.

    The picture above is from the 2018 ACF Regional Conference in Newport Beach, CA. My team had just won the Baron H. Galand Knowledge Bowl regional championship. I am the one in the center in the black dress.

    This looks like a completely normal picture to you. However, I am not a person who wears dresses and anyone who knows me would know that something is going on behind the scenes in this picture. You see, I gave my team an incentive to win their competition. The deal was I would wear a dress to the awards gala if they won. And they did just that and won. Zoom in on my shoes and you can tell I was not prepared for this.

    An argument can be made here from the students’ perspective as to this moment being one of the benefits of competing, seeing their coach in a dress. From an instructor/coach/mentor position, this is one of the benefits I get from participating in competitions. I get to be part of the process, be part of their hard work, and be there to share in their joy when they achieve their goals.

    The benefits of competitions for students in culinary schools are numerous. Competing gives students an opportunity to hone their skills. It helps them build physicality by practicing tasks over and over which helps build muscle memory for the chef knife or the whisk to become an extension of their arm. Students are motivated to improve their skills by having an end goal to achieve. Spending countless hours practicing on their feet on top of the time they are already spending in culinary lab class helps prepare for the physical demand of this industry.

    A huge benefit of competing is how it teaches students better time management skills, which is one of the most valuable skills in this fast-paced culinary industry. The students with the best time management skills are those who have a full plate from full-time culinary school, full-time job, and any other extracurricular activities. Ironically, students with the best time management skills are typically the ones who sign up to compete because they are driven by goals the most.

    Competing helps the students’ mental toughness as well by building their resilience for the stress and anxiety that comes hand-in-hand with this industry. Let’s face it: the culinary field is not for the “faint of heart.” It takes a certain level of persistence and grit to survive. Building their mental toughness will help students endure the rigors of culinary school, competing, working in this industry, and life in general. And so we here at TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO choose to bring this event to the grassroot where we can better put our view to use at the same time discover greater and hiden talents in each of the students in all vriouse categories of the competition.

    TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO is an online radio station operated by DIR. WILLIAMS-GREAT OLABISI in partnership with DR. TRIUMPH BLESSING ADENIJI. TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO is a

    4 months old online radio, broadcasting live from the heart of Ikorodu Lagos, it serves the social, cultural and educational interests of both the Community and the world at large through the provision of facilities, training and programs. 

    TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO is committed to the principles of Access, Diversity and Independence in its operation and the pursuit of excellence in online radio broadcasting industry, with the future aspiration of migrating fully into terrestrial radio/television in the near future.

    MISSION STATEMENT

    TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO communicates the views, needs, interests and aspirations of the communities it serves through its operation as a community based online radio broadcaster.  

    AIMS

    1. To provide access to training, production facilities and airtime for private, government and non-governmental parastatals, as well as individuals and community groups within its service area.
    2. To encourage innovation and diversity in the form and content of its programming.
    3. To provide a forum for the expression of views that enhance the diversity of choice available through local media.
    4. To provide a balance of community, student and educational programming while ensuring minimum duplication of program content that is provided by other broadcast media in its service area.
    5. To promote the Ikorodu locality and its environs by providing a community radio service.
    6. To provide production, presentation and transmission facilities equal to contemporary industry standards.
    7. To achieve recognition as a center of excellence in training and the provision of practical experience for those who wish to enter the broadcast industry.
    8. To maximize its financial self-sufficiency as a community enterprise.
    9. To ensure that ethical practices and procedures are followed in all aspects of the operation of TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO.  
    10. To abide by the NBC Codes of Practice, the Broadcasting Services Act, 1992 and other relevant legislation.

    TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO is committed to presenting more inclusive programming on air (gender, Indigenous, English and non-English speaking background, disability access, etc.) to our long list of edutaining programs carefully designed with our esteem audience in mind. 

    This is aided with TRIUMPH EDU-RADIO’S believe in educational content aimed at educating and entertaining our listeners across all our social media handles and app respectively, as we broadcast to 150 countries of the world plus having well over 24,000 people in reach across our social media handles.
