My name is Gigi. I am in the process of planning an approved TEDx Youth Talk, that has been fully licensed by TED, about the struggles of today’s generation in high school. I am looking for sponsors interested in non-profit community events that are run by teens. If so, I’d love to pitch my ideas for the presentation. I want to hold the event at MOCA in Los Angeles, however the cost is too steep for me to provide. Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing back.
Why should you sponsor?
A sponsor should support my event because young people must continue to use their voices to speak out against gun violence, body image, and LGBTQ discrimination.
My name is Gigi and I am 16 years old. Here's a little bit about me:
I am very passionate about health services for all people, but specifically the LGBT+ community. I hope to one day go to med school, and become a plastic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive surgeries for the trans population. I have noticed over the past few years many middle and high schools fail to include LGBT+ safe sex ed, not to mention the lack of understanding of gender identity in my peers. I believe there needs to be steps taken towards informing the misconceptions about the growing queer community, and I want to begin to take those steps in local high schools and youth. Additionally, I play piano competitively and volunteer at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience!
