About the event

TEDxLeiden University was first organised in 2018 by a group of students from various faculties at Leiden University. After two successful events, Covid-19 heavily impacted the program and TEDxLeidenUniversity had to adapt to the rapidly changing global environment.

This year we want to make TEDxLeidenUniversity bigger and better than ever before. One of our previous speeches in 2019 reached over 7.5 million views on YouTube!

Our theme for the 2023 conference is "Unmuted". This theme tackles taboo subjects and seeks to give platforms to students and experts who have meaningful ideas to share. We want to give a voice to those who have been silenced in the past. 

Why should you sponsor?

As our sponsor, TEDxLeidenUniversity will provide an innovative platform for you to promote your business or organisation.

Sponsors will be credited before and during the event on various levels. We can offer on-site, product-based forms of promotion at our event as well as the possibility to work alongside TEDx to spread "ideas worth sharing". 

The acquisitions team will consider the individual demands and wishes of each sponsor. We make it our utmost priority to ensure the satisfaction of our sponsors in this partnership.

Our board consists of nine ambitious students who share the same goal. We want to make TEDxLeidenUniversity 2023 an unforgettable event. 

As the Head of Acquisitions, I guide a team of 5 students to explore partnership opportunities and cater to the needs of our sponsors. Our job is to make sure both parties benefit from a sponsorship with us. We value transparency with the allocation of our budget and our sponsorships.
