About the event
It is a ladies weekend to inspire, uplift, support, love, and share! I planned this weekend because I find it very important to get women in the same room to mingle and discuss different topics that we find most important and to get some clarity or advice from others.
Why should you sponsor?
I have been aspiring to become a businesswoman for quite some time now. It has always been a dream of mine to help people through whatever issues that are thrown at them and come together to come up with solutions, so problems that are not in our control, aren’t stressed over. I am a graduate student and have so many ideas, unfortuantely, it is not easy with lack of finances to support the things I want to achieve.
The meaning behind it all:
Stay U.P. Stay Blessed and Less Pressed means to stay unapologeticly proud of who you are and what you have gone through in life. There are things we endure throughout our lifetime that we just will never understand or know why, but there is a reason. Many of us have different experiences, but we also have similar ones. We are given the opportunity to share our stories and permit growth when doing so. Continue to recognize that you are blessed. You have been through struggles, yet you have remained strong. Do not allow your struggles to hinder your happiness, though it may be difficult. Do not allow other people to hinder your happiness. Live your life for YOU. When you feel blessed and recognize your blessings, you are less pressed and have the ability to stay U.P.
Taylor PettifordMy name is Taylor Pettiford and I am 23 years old. I am from Chicago and am currently pursuing a Master's in Organizational Development. I aspire to be a business owner, but am planning on starting small then progressing over time. I have interned and worked for many not-for-profit organizations and my passion drives me to continue fighting for things I believe in and I am hoping someone else can see my vision because I feel that it would be amazing.
