STARSTRUCK 2017

StarStruck is the inauguration of incoming freshmen into the Oikos family. Through a journey of three days, freshmen will be initiated into the culture and lifestyle of a Singapore Management University student. Setting in stone lasting friendships, creating a memorable experience to kickstart their university life.

Freshmen will be participating in a wide range of challenging, team building activities such as an Amazing Race, War Games and Fright Night. Freshmen will put their teamwork and synergy to the test through a series of high tempo clan games, from the SMU campus to the golden shores of Sentosa. Thereafter, an Oikos Initiation Ceremony is held to signify their transition from freshmen to Oikos. Ending off the camp with a bang, the new Oikos family cumulates for a Finale Night, showcasing their captivating performances over scrumptious food and reminisce their unforgettable journey.

VISION

StarStruck differentiates itself from other freshmen camps firstly by the Strong Family Culture present in the existing OIKOS Community and secondly by the Morals and Values behind our camp activities.

Holistically, the camp aims to provide a comprehensive and meaningful camp experience centred on Forging Enduring Friendships and inculcating a sense of unity amongst freshmen from disparate backgrounds.

SMU Economics Society, known as Oikos, is the student representative body of all SMU undergraduates undertaking the Bachelor of Science (Economics) Programme. The vision of Oikos is to foster one Oikos family.
