Shivam.... the mystical truth, is based on the concept of truth, tranquility, innocence,
and benevolence. It focuses on the 5 different forms of energies which represent the five senses
through which one will experience something that is beyond.
According to the Panchabrahma Upanishad from the medieval era, lord Shiva is described as an
infinite existence, nondual consciousness, unsurpassed bliss and the five-faced God or Pancha
Brahma. The five faces or forms of Shiva, Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusa, and Isana
embodies the five capacities or acts (panchakrityas) – creation, sustenance, dissolution,
concealing grace and unveiling beauty, respectively. The five forms or faces of Shiva also
correlate to the five syllables in the holy pent asyllabic mantra – na-mah-shi-vā-ya.
Shivam portrays how one may achieve moksha, union with the brahman by meditating on Shiva
within, with "So'ham" or "I am He, He am I".

Mathura Natya Maamani Smt. Guruvayur Usha Dorai with music conceptualized and composed
by "Vadya Ratna Kara" Achyuthan Sashidaran Nair.

different forms of energies which represent the five senses through which one will experience
something that is beyond.

grown artist. We would like to request your support as an advertiser in our souvenir book. Attached

propagate the arts while helping the growth of homegrown artists.
Being the only daughter of Mathura Natya Mamani Gurusri Guruvayur Usha Dorai, Krithika
Ramachandran is the granddaughter of the great Mridangam maestro Kalaimamani Shri Guruvayur Dorai;
making her a privileged descendent of a great lineage of musicians and artists.
Krithika’s passion for dance and music was made evident through the achievements she began setting
from a young age itself. At the age of 16, she completed her Bharathanatyam Arangetram under Gurusri
Guruvayur Usha Dorai and Shri Abdullah Abdul Hamid. It was entitled ‘Hamsa Nrityam’ and the title,
‘Nrithya Tara’ was conferred to her. The following year she went on to present a solo margam of the
same name and repertoire at the Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur.
As a student of Laasya Arts Academy, Krithika has tirelessly dedicated herself to various productions
being : Siddhartha, Muruga Charanam, Bhavayami, Panchamam, Bala Ramayana, Govinda, Thirukural &
Thirumurai Maanadu, Maa, Samarpanam, Lahari(Kuala Lumpur and Singapore), Mantra Tantra and
Amrapali. She also regularly performs every year during the Navaratri festival under the school name.
Krithika’s dedication to performing arts has opened many opportunities for her to perform overseas in
countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka, Australia and of course India.
Krithika started setting milestones on an international level when she won the consolation place at
the Bala Kala Utsav Competition (November 2015) which was held in New Delhi. She also went on to
gain the title of “Nritya Mani” from the Cuttack International Music and Dance Festival which was held
in Orissa on the 5th of January 2017. In July 2017, she took part in Madhavam, the eternal bliss, a dance
duet along with Shanggari Adrian which toured Bangalore and Cochin in April 2018. Following that, in
October, Krithika was presented with ‘Bharatha Thilakam’ title by the Eka Bhavana Management
Committee. Her most recent title was ‘Nritya Mayilini’ was given to her by Kaapiyam Foundation in
Chennai. In 2018, Krithika went on to win the third place in the International Margam Dance competition
held in Bhilai. In September this year, she was presented with the ‘Naatya Kalamani’ title by Shri
Achyuthan Sashidaran Nair and Shri Ajith Bhaskaran for her dedication towards the field of arts.
Krithika, today is one of the few senior students at Laasya Arts Academy who has established a name for
herself as a solo dancer. She is the perfect role model for all the upcoming dancers as her passion and
dedication to the art form is simply mind-blowing. The amount of time she spends in not only moulding
herself, but other dancers too shows how much she is willing to give to the art form. These upcoming
shows will only be her stepping stones to the grand success that she is going to be in the future.
