About the event

Samana Color Festival is a music festival bringing the Dominican community the opportunity to experience music in a way they haven’t before. By bringing both international and local DJs and artists into one event, we are creating a fun and engaging experience for all music lovers. 

SCF aims to provide a space for Dominicans to enjoy rising global musical genres in the starting place of those very genres. It gives a spotlight to lesser known Dembow and EDM artists, to provide an opportunity for them to connect with their listeners and fans.  

This festival values culture, music, dance, and all the positive energy that comes with it being for Dominicans, created by Dominicans.

Maya Raj

My name is Maya and together with my company partner Hector, we are creating experiences for local Dominicans. I have a unique background of being both passionate about serving the healthcare needs of underserved populations as well as an extreme passion for music and ethnomusicology. I have studied music since I was 5 years old, and have continue to have a keen ear for predicting the next biggest genre. My involvement with WeltMusik Producciones helped bring the company 700+ followers on Instagram, and a broader recognition across different cities of the Dominican Republic. We have slowly been growing credibility through the months, however I would love the opportunity for vendors and potential sponsors to help contribute to creating a much larger experience for the Dominican Community. I've successfully completed various projects within multiple communities including setting up a public health curriculum in a local Dominican school, providing a Pediatric Clinic to an underserved community in California, and creating a succesful fashion show for a local Jamaican store in California. I am hoping that with the right support I can build this passion for something larger in the Carribbean.
